Most men who wear a Figaro chain every day wear a thin one. At 3 or 4 mm, the 3 + 1 link pattern is still visible, but the chain stays quiet enough for the office, a linen shirt or a watch-and-chain look. This page is about those slim Figaros. Our Figaro chains are stainless steel or titanium steel (a stainless steel alloy, not pure titanium), in bare silver-tone steel or with gold-tone plating.

The slim Figaro chains

Both are titanium steel with a lobster clasp.

3 mm or 4 mm?

• 3 mm: the lightest look. Almost invisible under a buttoned shirt, a fine line with an open collar.
• 4 mm: the pattern reads more clearly over a T-shirt, still discreet at work.

Where a thin Figaro shines

Under a shirt

20" sits at the collarbone, right in the opening of a shirt with two buttons undone.

In summer

With a linen shirt or a polo, a thin Figaro looks relaxed. It can go to the beach: rinse it in clean water after the sea or the pool.

With a watch

A thin chain and a watch in the same tone make a coherent look without anything else.

Layered

A 3 mm Figaro in 18" above a longer pendant chain in 22". Keep the same tone.

Care for a thin chain

Thin chains knot more easily than wide ones. Store yours flat or hung, apart from other jewelry. Clean it with warm water, mild soap and a soft brush, then dry it. Perfume and chlorine wear gold-tone plating over time.
