Where a chain sits depends on its length. Here is how each length falls on an average build.
Measure at home in 2 minutes
You need a strip of paper (or a string or shoelace), a pen and a ruler.
- Take a string or a shoelace and mark on it the length you are considering, for example 22".
- Hold the two marks together at the back of your neck, wearing the kind of top you usually wear.
- Look in a mirror: the lowest point of the string is where the chain will sit.
- Too high or too low? Try 2" more or less: that is one size up or down.

18" (46 cm) sits close to the neck, 20" (51 cm) at the collarbone, 24" (61 cm) on the mid-chest, and 26" to 30" lower for an oversized look. The 8 and 10 mm are classic; 12 mm and up is bold.
Wear it alone over a T-shirt or under an open collar. For a layered look, wear a thinner width short with a longer, heavier one, keeping about 2 inches (5 cm) between them.

Will the gold Cuban chain stay gold in the shower?
Water is fine on the stainless steel base. The gold tone is a plating, so perfume, chlorine and constant rubbing wear it faster; wipe it with a soft cloth after wearing.
Can I get the gold Cuban as a matching bracelet?

Is the 18mm gold Cuban chain heavy?
