U hebt een strook papier (of een touwtje of veter), een pen en een liniaal nodig.
- Neem een touwtje of veter en markeer daarop de lengte die u overweegt, bijvoorbeeld 56 cm.
- Houd de twee markeringen samen in uw nek, met het soort bovenstuk dat u gewoonlijk draagt.
- Kijk in de spiegel: het laagste punt van het touwtje is waar de ketting komt te hangen.
- Te hoog of te laag? Probeer 5 cm meer of minder: dat is een maat groter of kleiner.
Hebt u al een ketting die u mooi vindt? Leg hem plat met gesloten sluiting en meet hem van uiteinde tot uiteinde. Bij een brede nek of borst valt elke lengte iets hoger.
