Figaro chain necklace length: from 16 to 26 inches
The Figaro's pattern, three short links and one long, shows best when the chain lands in the right place. Too short and it disappears under the collar; too long and the long links lose their rhythm against a t-shirt. All our Figaro necklaces are stainless steel or titanium steel, in bare polished steel (silver-tone) or with a gold-tone plating; the Figaro Chain with Cross Pendant also comes in black.

The Figaro Link Chain Necklace covers every length from 16" to 26", in 3 to 6 mm. The Figaro Chain in Stainless Steel (3 mm) runs from 18" to 24". The Figaro Chain Necklace in Stainless Steel (6 mm) comes in 18", 20" and 24", with 24" in silver-tone only.
Length and width go together
- 3 mm: any length works. At 22" or 24" it carries a small pendant.
- 4 to 5 mm: 20" or 22" shows the pattern best, at an open collar or over a t-shirt.
- 6 mm: 20" to 24". A wide chain sits a little higher on the neck, so it needs the extra length.

Find your length at home
Put a string around your neck where you want the chain to fall, mark it, and measure it flat. Compare it with the table. If you are between two lengths, or your neck is broader than average, take the longer one. To layer two Figaros, keep about 2 inches between them, for example 20" with 22" or 24".
