Gold-tone box chain pendants by size and weight
When a pendant comes already on its box chain, two numbers tell you how it will feel: the size of the pendant and its weight. A 10 g cross is forgotten after an hour; a 28 g one is felt every time you move. This page sorts the gold-tone pendant necklaces in this collection by those two numbers, using the measurements listed on each product. The Square Pendant Box Chain Necklace, an octagonal frame with a black inlay on a 60 cm chain, completes the collection. The Nail Cross comes in gold-tone or black; the others come in gold-tone and silver-tone, and several also in black.
What the numbers mean when you wear it
- Around 10 g: light enough to forget. Good for a first pendant.
- 16 to 19 g: you know it is there, without noticing it all day. The everyday range.
- 24 g and up: a pendant you feel when you move. It hangs straight and stays in place over a t-shirt.
Size changes how far it reads. Under 3 cm, a pendant is a detail seen up close. Around 5 cm, it is seen across a room. The Lion Head Medallion, at 40 x 55 mm with a cubic zirconia halo, and the Nail Cross, at 56 x 35 mm, are the most visible pieces here.
