Men's gold Cuban link chain: a width guide from 4 mm to 18 mm

How to choose your width

• First gold chain, every day: 4 or 6 mm. The Cuban Link Chain Necklace comes in 4, 6 and 8 mm, in 18" to 24". At 4 mm it stays elegant with a shirt.

Your build matters

On a slim neck and frame, 4 to 8 mm looks proportionate and 14 mm and up can look oversized. On a broad build, 8 to 12 mm sits naturally and a 4 mm chain can look thin. If in doubt, choose the middle: 6 or 8 mm.

Plating on a wide Cuban

A wide Cuban has large flat faces that reflect light, which is its appeal, and also the places where friction shows first. You can wear it in the shower, at the sea or in the pool; rinse it in fresh water afterwards and dry it. Keep perfume off it and wipe it with a soft dry cloth.
