Men's silver pendant necklaces: the chain that comes with each one
Every pendant necklace on this page is sold complete, pendant and chain together. That makes the length of the included chain the detail to check before you buy, because it decides where the pendant sits on your chest. Every piece is silver-tone stainless steel or titanium steel; silver is the color, not the metal.

Reading the table
- 18" to 20": the pendant sits at or just below the collarbone. Good over a crew neck. The extender on the rectangular bar and the four-point star lets you adjust by up to 2".
- 21" to 22": upper chest, the most versatile. The navigational compass and the dog tag sit here.
- About 24": mid-chest, ideal for larger pendants or wear under a shirt. The square pendant and most 60 cm pieces sit here.
On a broad neck, everything sits about an inch higher.
Wearing a pendant necklace with a plain chain
The pendant goes on the longer chain. Add a plain chain about 2 inches shorter, with no pendant, in the same silver tone: a 60 cm pendant necklace with a 20" box or rope chain above it. Plain chains are on our men's silver chains page; the pendants themselves are explained on silver pendant chains.
Care
Steel can go in the shower, the sea and the pool; rinse it in clean water afterwards. Plated and antiqued finishes wear with chlorine and perfume over time.
