Thick gold-tone bracelets for men: wide steel links in a warm color
A wide bracelet in a gold color is one of the strongest accents a man can wear at the wrist. Here, "gold" is the color: every bracelet is stainless steel or titanium steel (a stainless steel alloy) with a gold-tone plating, and several also come in silver-tone or black. This page focuses on the wide end, from 6 mm to 18 mm. For all gold-tone bracelets, including the slimmer ones, see our gold-tone chain bracelets.
Wide gold-tone bracelets, by width
| Bracelet | Width | Length |
|---|---|---|
| Gold-tone Cuban link bracelet | 8 to 18 mm | 8.25" (8 and 10 mm), 8.75" (12 mm and up) |
| Geometric link bracelet, titanium steel | 10, 12 or 15 mm | 8.75" (10 and 15 mm), 8.25" (12 mm) |
| Cuban link bracelet with box clasp | 6, 8 or 10 mm (10 mm in gold-tone only) | 7" to 9" |
| Cuban link bracelet in stainless steel | 4 to 9 mm | 7", 8" or 9" |
| Heavy curb chain bracelet | 8 mm | 7.5" |
| Byzantine link chain bracelet | 8 mm | 8.75" |
| Wheat link bracelet (double wheat) | 6 mm | 21 cm |
How wide should you go?
6 to 8 mm is bold but easy, and fits next to a watch. 10 to 12 mm is a statement; wear it on the wrist without the watch. 14 to 18 mm is worn alone: the gold-tone Cuban link bracelet goes up to 18 mm, the widest we offer. For a different texture than Cuban, the geometric link bracelet in titanium steel has rounded, three-part links and comes with a link adjustment tool.
Getting the fit right
A wide bracelet should not spin on the wrist or slide over the hand. Measure your wrist and add about 2 cm (0.8 in). If you are between two lengths on a wide bracelet, take the shorter one. The Cuban link bracelet with box clasp comes in five lengths from 7" to 9", with two side-locks on the clasp.
With a watch and a chain
Match the tone to your watch case. If you wear a gold-tone chain as well, use the same link on both; our chain and bracelet sets show matching pairs.
Keeping the gold-tone finish
Shower, sea and pool are fine for steel. Rinse with clear water after salt water or chlorine and dry it. Perfume, lotion and chlorine wear the plating over time, so put the bracelet on last.
