Men's black chain for a pendant: which width and length to choose
Many men look for a black chain for one reason: they already have a pendant, or want one, and a dark chain makes it stand out. Match the chain to the pendant
A small pendant (up to about 3 cm)
Take the black Cuban chain in 4 mm. It is fine enough to let a small cross, medal or tag stay the focus. 22" places it just below the collarbone.
A medium pendant (3 to 5 cm)
The black Cuban chain in 6 mm, in 22" or 24". The flat links keep the pendant from turning.
A large or heavy pendant (5 cm and more)
The Franco chain. Its V-shaped links are woven into a four-sided, square profile that turns as you move without twisting. It is the strongest base we have for a heavy pendant. The 6 mm is plenty for everyday wear; take 26" so the pendant rests on the chest.
Check the bail
The bail is the loop at the top of the pendant that the chain passes through. Before you order, make sure it is wide enough for the chain's width and for the clasp to pass. A wide chain needs a wide bail.
Pendants that look good on black

You can keep the chain on in the shower, at the gym, at the sea or in the pool. Rinse it in clean water after the sea or the pool and dry it. A pendant rubs where it touches the chain, so check that point from time to time: perfume, chlorine and friction wear the black plating over time.
