At 4 mm, the twist is clearly visible from across a room, yet the chain is still light enough to wear every day and fine enough to carry a pendant. It is the width many men end up choosing after hesitating between a discreet 3 mm and a bold 5 mm.

Is 4mm right for you?

• Choose 4 mm if you want the rope to be seen over a t-shirt, but not to dominate. It suits an average to broad build and looks balanced at 20" or 22".
• Choose 3 mm if you mostly wear shirts, or want a quieter line. The Braided Titanium Steel Chain is the classic 3 mm rope.
• Choose 5 mm if the chain is your main piece and you wear it alone.

A 4mm rope chain with a pendant

A 4 mm rope is strong enough for a medium to large pendant and has enough presence to balance it. Take 24" so the pendant rests mid-chest.
