Men's gold bracelets: chain, tennis, cuff or bangle?

This page brings together every bracelet we offer with a gold-tone finish: chain links, Cuban links, tennis bracelets, cuffs and bangles. "Gold" means the color. Each bracelet is stainless steel or titanium steel with gold-tone plating, and a few are two-tone, gold-tone with silver-tone or black. Before width or length, the useful question is which type of bracelet you want on your wrist, because each one wears very differently.

Getting the size right

A chain bracelet should move a little without sliding over the hand. Measure your wrist and add 0.5 to 1 inch. The Cuban Link Bracelet in Stainless Steel, for example, comes in 7", 8" and 9", which fit wrists of about 6 to 6.5, 7 to 7.5 and 8 to 8.5 inches. The Paperclip Link Bracelet adjusts from 16.5 to 20 cm with its extender.

Rigid pieces need more care. The hook bangle has a 55 mm inner diameter, which suits a slim wrist: measure yours before ordering. The open cuff gently opens or closes and is best on a slim to average wrist.

Wearing gold-tone at the wrist

• With a watch: wear a slim chain or tennis bracelet next to it, or move a wide Cuban to the other wrist.
• Alone: 8 mm and wider reads as the main piece, over a T-shirt or a rolled sleeve.

Care

Showers, the gym, the sea and the pool are fine. Rinse the bracelet in fresh water after salt water or chlorine and dry it. Hand cream, perfume and chlorine wear plating gradually, and the wrist rubs against desks and sleeves, so a bracelet shows wear sooner than a necklace. Wipe it with a soft dry cloth, never an abrasive one.
